Premier Health Partners is a private billing practice, and consultation fees will be charged at the discretion of the treating doctor. 

GP Consultation Fees

• STANDARD (Less than 15 minutes) – $90 – $98 (Medicare rebate $41.40) 
• LONG  (15- 25 minutes) $145 – $180 (Medicare rebate $80.10) 
• EXTENDED (25+ minutes) $190 – $280 (Medicare rebate $118) 

– Please note the GPs at PHP are independent contractors and as such set their own fees.

– For Dr Kafa Lee, Dr Lisa Nguyen and Dr Bambie Lee the following applies: 1/ New patient appointments are LONG CONSULTATIONS; 2/ For complex matters, mental health consultations and more than one simple health matter, please choose LONG CONSULTATION

– All appointments with Dr Sunil Bhojwani are STANDARD CONSULTATIONS

– Please also note appointments that extend beyond the allocated time may be billed according to the length of the actual consultation.

Receptionists: Carly, Jacob & Sarah are professional and dedicated to making your health and well-being a top priority. Please address any compliments, or complaints to Belinda (our Practice Manager and Practice Nurse).

General Practitioners: Dr Alan Underwood is also consulting, and is available Mon – Wed afternoons. Dr Jane Habib specialises in Women’s Health. Jane is each weekday from 8.30am. Dr Bambie Lee is available on Mondays and Thursdays from 9am – 2pm.

Osteopaths: Dr Paul O’Keefe – Paul graduated as an Osteopath in 2004. He has worked overseas as well as at a number of Melbourne clinics. Paul has been an Osteopath in the North Melbourne area for the last 13 years. Dr James Traeger – James is committed to ensuring his patients are pain free and able to return to the activities they enjoy. 

Exercise Physiologist: Dr Clayne Stebbings is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, with a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Rehabilitation) and has worked in the health and fitness industry since 2000. 

Pathology: Our Practice Nurse Belinda is available Tuesdays and Thursdays 9.30am – 2.30 pm for your convenience.

The practice is increasingly seeking to communicate with our patients via secure electronic means. This would include email / SMS health reminders, on-line appointment bookings, SMS appointment reminders and in the future patient uploading basic health information. To do this we need to ensure we have your email address, mobile phone number and of course your consent.

New Patients including women, men and children are welcome at Premier Health Partners. Consultations are by appointment only. Appointments can be booked via telephone (03) 9329 7077, or via our website. In cases of an urgent appointment, please call and we will assist where possible.

If you are unable to attend for a scheduled appointment, please contact us to cancel or change your appointment time. As a courtesy we send out appointment reminders to the mobile number on file and request a minimum of 24 hours notice if you are unable to attend.

We have high demand for appointments and many patients miss out on seeing the doctor of their choice or even obtaining an appointment at all. Late cancellation or failing to attend does not allow the appointment to be offered to someone else seeking treatment.

A fee may be charged for failure to attend or cancellation at short notice, less than 24 hours on the day (NB: this fee does not attract a Medicare rebate).

We respect the right of the patient and ensure all complaints are dealt with in a timely manner.

This practice acknowledges that patient complaints are an important source of customer feedback.

Under the Health Services Act 1987 people with complaints should try to resolve them directly with the health service provider.

If a satisfactory outcome is not achieved then complaint can be directed to the Health Services Commissioner for action by calling 03 8601 5200.

A referral is not required to access the services of our GP’s or Allied Health Professionals. Our Osteopaths do accept GP Care Plans and GP Mental Health Care Plans (Payment is required at the time of service and claim sent through to Medicare for overnight reimbursement).

Our policy is that payments are to be made on the day of consultation. Accepted payment methods include EFTPOS, credit card and cash.

The practice offers to send your claim on line direct to Medicare. If you have your bank details registered with Medicare, the rebate will be sent to your nominated bank account within 24 hours.

We also encourage our patients to register their bank account details with Medicare to allow for prompt reimbursement of the medicare rebate to the nominated bank account. Patients can register online at www.humanservices.gov.au/online or download a Medicare Bank Account details form.

If your doctor refers you to another doctor, a specialist, or for any investigative tests please ask about fees and other costs that may arise.
