UPDATE: 5.00pm Wednesday 25 March 2020
We understand this is an incredibly difficult time for so many in our community. Our thoughts are with those continuing to work on the front line with this disease, as well as with small business owners, employees, and high-risk or unwell individuals.
We believe that the only way through this is to remain as calm as possible and support one another.
To that end, we are STILL OPEN. The latest advice from the Federal Health Minister, Chief Medical Officers, the State Government, and the Department of Health and Human Services is not only in support of allied health and medical practices staying open, but it is encouraged (as of right now).
In saying that, the health, safety, and wellbeing of our staff, patients, and extended community are paramount and we are committed to doing everything we can to minimise the spread of COVID-19.
Our GPs, Dr Jane Habib and Dr Alan Underwood, are both still available for patient consults. Face-to-face appointments can be booked by calling the clinic.
In the coming days, Dr Jane Habib will be offering Telehealth consultations, which are especially useful for those at high-risk or already showing flu-like symptoms (via a telephone and/or video call). Stay tuned in the next 48 hours for more information regarding how this will work.
With the advice from authorities mentioned above, Paul and Annabelle are available for Osteopathic treatment and bookings can be made online or by calling the clinic.
As part of our commitment to stay open to support our patients, while also reducing the spread of COVID-19, we are taking extra precautionary measures in the clinic.
These include:
- changing linen after every patient (as usual);
- regularly cleaning and sanitising high-touch areas, including door handles, counters, beds, and chair arms; and
- removing reading materials and children’s toys from the waiting area (avoiding items that can be handled by multiple patients).
To help us help you, it is CRITICAL that if you answer yes to any of the following questions, you must call the COVID-19 HELPLINE (1800 020 080).
- Have you returned from anywhere overseas in the past 14 days?
- Have you been in contact with anyone who has tested positive to COVID-19?
In these cases, you must call the COVID-19 HELPLINE (operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week), it is important that you do not attend the clinic.
If you answer no to all of the above questions but have respiratory symptoms, you MUST call the clinic before arriving. In the event that you do, we will advise you to enter via a separate entry where you will be provided with a mask and gloves and met by a GP. This will help us to ensure the safety of any other staff or patients in the clinic.
If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch with us on 9329 7077 or info@premierhealthpartners.com.au.
As you are aware, this situation is unprecedented and we are monitoring updates and advice very closely and taking this very seriously.
We will continue to update you where relevant, but we encourage our community to keep themselves educated and updated via reliable sources, circumstances are changing HOURLY (please note the time and date on this update).
We have included the dedicated DHHS and Federal Government pages below as well as the COVID-19 hotline number, which you may call with any questions or concerns about coronavirus.
