With high risk warnings issued for parts of Victoria this week, the Thunderstorm Asthma season is very much underway.
Thunderstorm asthma is something we’ve heard more about over the last few years and can be potentially very dangerous.
It’s thought to be triggered by the unique combination of high pollen counts and a specific time of thunderstorm; the outcome being that asthma or hayfever sufferers may experience severe asthma symptoms.
If you or someone in your family experiences asthma or hayfever, it’s a good idea to make sure you’re aware of thunderstorm asthma.
